Easily, best tacos in Redwood City!

We love al pastor and carnitas.

If you are looking for a down to earth Mexican shop to satisfy your cravings . Look no further, This is the spot !
They absolutely have the best tacos wrapped with fresh tortillas from the comal. The best barbacoa I had in years and I can taste all the original flavors. This barbacoa will make you sweat all the evil things in your body ha ha . ( in a good way)
The staff is super friendly and attentive. I believe they are all family and looks like they love what they do . I used to go to the grullense next door but their quality has declined. Come here and you won't be disappointed!

Rolled in about 20minutes before closing on a weeknight, got friendly service and fresh tortillas so I'm pretty happy. They ran out of masa about 15 minutes before closing so people coming in at the last minute couldn't get the tacos, quesadillas, or whatever else is made with masa.

We got a lengua quesadilla, cabeza quesadilla, shrimp taco, pastor sope, and a horchata. The tortilla for the quesadilla was incredibly tender. Lengua was bomb, but cabeza a bit dry. Quesadillas aren't your normal quesadillas, they're more like giant tacos with a bit of melted cheese especially since they're made with fresh corn tortilla. My one gripe would be that they were s bit too wet because of the salsa and toppings. Sope tasted a little dry/crumbly but was also good. The pastor was alright but didn't leave much of an impression. I think I'll try the carnitas next time.

I do wish they wouldn't serve the food on styrofoam plates with plastic forks, but I'm also afraid of how much higher the price would go if they had to wash more dishes. The average price of our food was around $4-$5 per item, and I was still a bit hungry after.

This place was fire and has great service. I've had multiple tell me to check it out for awhile now and finally had the opportunity. I ordered 4 tacos with rice and beans. They're carne asada and carnitas tacos were off the chain, and same goes for their rice and beans omg. The guys there running the place were all real nice and made sure we were satisfied and enjoyed our experience. This is place is definitely going to be in my future. I didn't take any pics only because once I got my food, I smacked everything within a few minutes! I'll make sure to take pics next time. If you haven't been, make sure to go and check it out. Plenty of parking so no excuses!

There's one thing that Tacos Los Gemelos in Redwood City does well, and that's meat! You can get try the offerings here in several different forms from tacos, burritos, quesadillas, plates, and tostadas--everything is a great value and comes with great flavors! I started with two different tacos: the barbacoa taco was by far my favorite with its juicy meat and flavorful garnishes, and the grilled shrimp taco was tasty as well (though it was overwhelmed by caramelized onion). I also got an order of the sope with aporriadillo (dry beef), which was like a thick tortillas topped with a thin layer of beans, the meat, lettuce, queso, and crema. The one dish to skip, however, is the tostada de ceviche--deceivingly, this mixture was actually made of cooked pieces of seafood (rather than raw and marinated), and the quality and portion size just wasn't worth the price. Nevertheless, this is a cool place to check out for authentic Mexican street food--the place is surprisingly clean and has a friendly staff as well!
